I officially turned in the keys to my damn Prime account a couple months ago. C’mon, how scuzzy do you feel ordering from Amazon?
Anything that convenient is taking a tremendous toll somewhere — if you’re not paying for it directly, safe bet someone else is by virtue of their underpaid labor. Safer bet (of course!) the planet is getting pummeled. There’s no free lunch. And there’s no truly free shipping!
As bad (worse?) our souls are becoming acclimated to the rush. You can’t enjoy the moment, the pleasure of stillness, and expect your paperclips to arrive same-day. You can’t. Cut the cord. Stop sending baldy all your money. Do it.
This is one of the first big wheat pastes I’ve put together, definitely rough but tons of fun. Lots of random paint on this one. I was experimenting with fading the borders of the image and the poem.
The tag is also rough. I’m using crisper stencils now and experimenting with layering stenciled media. Not sure if the weight will make it tough to paste up but we’ll see.
